Ultra Sound Pictures!
You've been kicking for quite a while now. The ultra sound nurse said you have long legs. I believe it!
The Docs says we may have gestational diabetes, so I've cut out our daily hot fudge cake sundae. And am trying to watch what I eat more. I didn't realize till now just how much junk food I'd been letting myself have. I normally don't crave it at all, but with this pregnancy I've been eating a lot of junk food and craving it nonstop. We go back for another test this coming Wednesday to make a final determination if we are diabetic right now or not. Praying.

Baby# 5 - I feel you moving around in there!!!
It's been about a week since the questionable gas bubbles became obvious that they were baby movements. I've been enjoying it immensely. I haven't been to see a Dr. here in Tennessee yet. We've been here about a month now. I need to get on that. I love the movements though. We were lucky enough to get to see you on ultra sound before we moved and you were sucking your thumb. It was such an awesome thing to see you. We have pictures and I'll try to be better about scanning those and posting them on here. I slacked off with Carolina and did a pretty pitiful job of keeping a baby book for Delsin and Kai too. My blog is going to replace the baby book. I think I can maybe print a book of the blog. I'm sure we'll work all that out later. It makes me know you are alive and kicking. Literally.
Your daddy and I have different feelings on what sex you will be. I say I think you will be a boy and he says he thinks a girl. So, I've been working hard to come up with boy names. I haven't found anything yet that jumps out at me. I have found a few that I like, but I keep praying that God will let me know what your name should be. Maybe you are a girl and that's why God hasn't given men any signs, or maybe it's just not time yet. I can't wait to see you though. We are all eagerly anticipating.... except maybe Carolina. I don't think she has any clue that you are in my tummy. I can't wait till the day she feels you kick and takes notice. That will be so funny. I love you sweet little baby!

You Are Crawling!!!
For the past several weeks now you've been scooting backwards. So last Thursday, when you took off like you were in a race it took me by such surprise that I actually screamed out loud. Then Delsin and Kai did too. Your daddy came running in from the other room, to see how badly you were hurt because we had scared him. You saw a piece of scrap fabric laying on one end of the rug, it was shinny, and you had to have it. I declared you a girlie girl because you are attracted to shiny things.
Then, this past weekend you got your 3rd tooth! Officially! It's on top and it's your left, 3rd from the center, tooth. And you are such a pro at eating. Tonight you had chicken quesadilla and loved every bit of it. You get so upset if you see someone sitting at the table and if you smell food and you haven't been given anything. In fact, you look like your feelings are really hurt. I might have to get a video of that tomorrow, or sometime soon. I have jury duty selection tomorrow. Georgia doesn't have a law exempting breastfeeding mothers from jury duty, so it looks like I'll be pumping and you'll be learning how to accept a bottle. Good luck with that. Good luck to both of us, actually. Pumping is very uncomfortable and I never get as much when I pump as you can efficiently extract from me. But I am excited about the possibility of participating in a jury. I've never done this before.
Well, it should be official sometime around November. We just found out two weeks ago. Daddy is out of work, so we have taken the past two weeks to get approved for medicaid and I really should have looked for a Dr. today. I could use Dr. Spainer. He's the Dr. who was supposed to deliver you, but his partner did. He did provide us our prenatal care. I could see him, but he doesn't do water births. I really, really, really, want to have a home water birth, but with Daddy being out of work I'm not counting on that. I wish though. It costs out of pocket though to have a midwife and a home birth. It would be so cool though. I'll pray for God's will to be done.
Here are some more pictures that we've taken of you over the past few days.

We've had a lot of fun this past month
Let's see if I can post something without overloading in pictures...
Oh who cares! You're beautiful and we want to see pictures!
Your first bath with the big girls...
Your first Urick ladies luncheon at the German Bakery...
Precious!
And your first time to eat steamed green beans and roasted chicken!
Carolina, about 2 weeks ago you started sitting up alone for a minute or two at a time.
Then Wednesday night, when we dropped you off at the nursery at church all of the babies in there had learned to crawl or walk. Well, the next day you were hollering at me while I was in the kitchen and you were on the rug. When I looked over at you, you were on your hands and knees rocking back and forth, and scooting backwards. Shortly after, you started picking up your legs and moving them forward. You didn't move your hands though, so you just kept falling on your face. But you never cried, just brushed yourself off and got right back up at it. A couple of days later I got down on the floor and you watched intently as I crawled in front of you. Then you started moving your hands like mine. You almost have this crawling thing down. You just need to figure out how to move your legs and arms in the right order, to get it.
It won't be long!!!

Your 6 month appointment
(You like tomatoes!)
I wanted to tell you that on Sunday you had three teeth. On Monday you only had two teeth.Sounds crazy huh? I'll bet you're wondering why and how that could have happened. Well, Tuesday we went to the pediatrician's office for your 6 month check up. I mentioned it and Dr. Tenenbaum said that you actually only had two teeth and the third one, the one that came in 2nd, was actually a cyst on top of your tooth. It was more white than your other teeth. He said that it popped because your new tooth popped it as it's pushing up. You do have a little nub there. And you've been sooo fussy since last week.
You are growing like a weed and have gained 2 lbs since the last visit. Dr. Tenenbaum said you were doing great. Nothing like the last appointment we had with his nurse tech. I forget how long you are now. I can probably check that out. You got three vaccines, and you were not happy about it. I love you so much Carolina Jane. So do Delsin and Kai. I'll try to remember to post some pictures tomorrow. I'm really tired. It's 2:22 AM and you are going to be waking me up soon for breakfast. I've been stealing time trying to work on your Easter dress. It's a bishop and the first one I've ever attempted to make. I'm crazy, because in addition to teaching myself to smock, I've got quite a following on my blog and youtube.
Good night sweet lovey baby!

Teeth! Food! First Snow!
This is the end of December, and all of January, in a nut shell.
That's right. You got your first tooth on January 19th.
And then you got your second tooth on January 26th.
Your first tooth was the second from the right on the front, if I'm looking at you.
Your second tooth was the one in the front to the right, if I'm looking at you.
You didn't seem a bit out of sorts for the first one.
(Here's a picture of Papa trying to feed you some baby food. You weren't interested. These three were a few days before Christmas.)
A little out of sorts on the second. And I though for sure that you were going to get another tooth this week.
(Delsin trying to feed you a bottle, the day after Christmas. You weren't interested.)
The center left one looks like it's coming close. It appears as though you are going to be like Kai.
She had a mouth full of teeth at just 9 months old. People said she looked so cute, then when she smiled it was so unusual that it caught them off guard.
(Somebody got a new swing for Christmas!)
It looks like you're going to have a mouth full of teeth early too.
(Sweet Kisses)
You also had your first meal this week.
You had scrambled eggs. And not just any scrambled eggs...
You got to eat Henrietta's scrambled eggs as your very first official meal.
Here's a little clip.
(first Snow 1/7/11)
You had a dedication on the 23rd of January.
