Enoch is sick

Poor sweet baby.
We were in a luke warm bath last night because your temperature was 104.6 degrees.
You're on a regiment of  acetaminophen and ibuprofen to control it now.
On a lighter note.  You are clearly trying to talk now.
You often attempt to repeat words that we say and it is so darn cute.
You reach out when you want to be held, which feels like all the time. :)
You are definitely a Momma's Boy and I love it.
You had your first sleep over a few weeks ago with Aunt Becky.
Then your second was with Aunt Audrey.
Aunt Audrey didn't enjoy it as much as Aunt Becky did, 'cause you missed me so much and were fussy, to say the least.
You are almost ready to walk.  You try every day, and you are getting another tooth right now, but I don't know for sure where yet.  I just know you soak a bib in no time flat.
I gotta go feed you now.  I love you!
(These pictures were taken at the Wilson County Fair in August.)

P.S. Tonight you used a fork!  Just grabbed it off of Delsin's plate of spaghetti and started putting food in your mouth over and over!  And just now I turned on some Bee Gees (Stayin' Alive) and you started dancing!

You call me Mama!

033

You've been saying "Mama" for the past three days.
It was so cute when several days ago you kept saying, "Uuma!  Uuma!"
I knew you were trying to say, "Mama".  So at one point I looked at you face to face and said, "Mama" slowly over and over again.  You were watching and smiling and laughing.  I think you were laughing because you were so happy that I knew what you were doing.

Today we went to a family reunion on my Granddaddy's side.
Here you are meeting Shane Bell.  He's my cousin Lisa's husband.

New things all around!

I'll have to post pictures later today.
It's 4AM and I haven't been to sleep yet.
I just wanted to tell you that you guys are amazing me.
Delsin & Kai you completed your first summer reading program and not one but...
two libraries.  You won some neat prizes: pass to Wilson County Fair, Nashville Sounds tickets, Jimmy Floyd Center passes, certificates of completion, gift certificated to Mc Donald's.
And I am so very proud of you.

Carolina, you showed me yesterday that you know how to push a chair up to where you want to climb, and you also chewed gum for the first time.  It's not the first time you've been given gum, but you didn't swallow it today.  In fact, you kept yours longer than I kept mine.  Way to go!

Enoch,  I've been slacking in telling you that you got your fifth tooth a week ago.  Then this past Saturday you got your 6th tooth.  YOUR top, center, left and right respectively.  You look so cute with all those teeth when you smile!  Today you played hide n seek by hiding your face on my chest.  I'd say, "Where's Enoch?"  over and over a few times, then you'd raise your head up and look me in the eye and giggle while I said, "There he is!!"

Tonight Tristen is spending the night with us.

I'm very proud of all of your.  And I love you all so very much!

Enoch got his second tooth today!

I didn't get any pictures today.
...waiting for the camera battery to charge up.
But as I was holding Enoch today, hanging out under a shade tree with Beck at her house,
I noticed blood in Enoch's mouth.  I shockingly exclaimed, "What in the world?"
He looked up at me with his amazing smile and showed me his new tooth poking through.
It was awesome!

Delsin and Kai have been trying their fins at swim teams.
They just went and saw and practiced along a couple of times.
Swim teams are extremely expensive, as we've discovered, so we may not be doing that for a while, or ever.  We'll just have to see how things go.  But it was adorable watching them learn how to do the 4 strokes.
Freestyle
Butterfly
Backstroke
 Breaststroke

You got your second tooth today!

We were hanging out at Aunt Beck's.
We were all sitting outside under the shade of a tree, & shootin' the breeze.
I looked down at you in my arms, chewing on my hand and noticed that blood was coming out of your mouth.
"What in the world!"
Upon further inspection I discovered that you had your second tooth!
I wanted to take a picture of you this afternoon, but it took the camera battery too long to charge.
I'll try again later.
I love you sweet Enoch.
Here I have been thinking about how I keep needing to pinch myself to know that you are real.
I dreamed of you for so long, and even though you are 8 months old it's still hard to believe that you are really here and this is not a dream, but a dream come true.
My life with you and your brother and sisters is a real life dream come true.
Oh yeah,
and don't forget all of our fur babies, as Flower jumps up onto the desk with a meow and walks across the keyboard.  ♥

Dada Is your first word!

First time in a buggy
(Taken 6/4/12, your first time to ride in the seat of a buggy.)

You said it last Friday.  Today is Monday.
I heard it and thought, "Is this boy saying 'Dada'?"
The next morning I woke to the sound of you saying, "Dada, Dada, Dada, and looked over to see Daniel (your daddy) leaned over you, next to me, smiling from ear to ear.
Then I told you Good morning and you looked at me.
When I asked, "Where is Dada?"
You turned and looked directly at Daniel and started saying it over and over again.
Too Cute!

Enoch, you got your first tooth!

Enoch

You got your first tooth, day before yesterday, sweet baby!!!
I'd been wondering when it was going to come in, and why you have been wanting to nurse sooooo much.
Now I know.
And your interest in food has dramatically taken a turn.
In recent months you barely paid any attention to any food.
When I'd give you some you'd just play with it and not put it in your mouth.
I tried baby food and you took great care to spit it back at me every time I came near.
Then, two weeks ago, at Papa and Nana's house, I gave you a piece of corn on the cob.
They all thought I was crazy, but I had a feeling you'd go for it.
Go for it; you did!  You attacked that corn like there was no tomorrow.
Ever since then you've been eating anything you can get your hands on.
Just today, after church, we went to the Mexican restaurant here in town.  You were eagerly anticipating trying some food.  I gave you a few bites of re-fried beans and you decided you didn't like those.  I realized that there was some avocado on my plate and gave you that, and you seemed happy.  That is until I got engulfed in a conversation and didn't feed you fast enough.  Next thing I know you're pulling yourself up on my arm.  When I put you in my lap you just started grabbing two fist fulls of rice and chicken chimichanga and shoving them in your mouth.

We're about to take you fishing, so I need to go help Daddy find the tackle box.
I love you,  Mama.
